This battery will fit into all gameboy, gameboy color, gameboy advance cartridges with minor modification (short length of wire to connect one leg to the solder pin).

A much better permanent way to fix flat save batteries in gameboy games. The solder tags ensure easy soldering and avoid explosion of battery due to overheating from direct soldering.

Please be sure to wear safety goggles when soldering this item, in the event that you overheat the battery and cause it to pop (although this is unlikely if you take care and use a low power iron)

CR2025 Tagged Lithium Cell - Game Saves - Gameboy

Symptom of failure of game save battery is a corrupt save file, or save files that disappear when the power is turned off on the console. Occasionally, the cartridge won't boot properly when the battery is flat (seen in Zelda on the SNES).

Normally suitable for Gameboy and GBC cartridges, the legs typically need a little modification (bending) and a short length of wire (appx 3mm) will be needed to complete the circuit. This is due to the legs being in a slightly different orientation to the originals.

You should check the battery type in your game first, as a smaller battery is available, CR1220, if space is limited.

It does not contain a replacement LCD, just the plastic cover. The LCDs do fail on the DMG-01 gameboy model so please check yours works before changing the screen!

Easy fit - just remove the old part CAREFULLY with a fine screwdriver, and peel and stick the new part.

NOT suitable for any other gameboy models - check this category for those screens.
