changing a controller shell is actually a nice easy project. It will take about half an hour. (but note that you DO need to be technically minded to perform this. And clear a nice space, and DONT lose any parts on the carpet!)
No soldering or electrical work involved, just unscrew and replace, and put back together.
NOTE - THIS IS A SHELL, NOT A CONTROLLER. IT IS THE PLASTIC CASING/BUTTONS without the insides.
Sold as a full set. In the set you get:
1 x Shell in colour mentioned in title and top picture
Shell includes:
-All Buttons (but you may wish to reuse your old "XBOX" centre button as the replacement one doesn't have the microsoft logo for obvious reasons)
-L/R buttons and triggers
-Thumbstick caps and d-pad in grey
-battery case. Yes, the matching battery case IS included! :)
Please note: Screws are not included with the pink or matt white shell [although they come with other internal parts which aren't normally included], you will need to re-use your old screws. Other colours DO come with screws, but the original screws tend to be better/stronger, so we do still recommend using your old ones where possible. Note also that "pink" now refers to the new solid matt "candy" pink (pictured on its own). The old metallic pink is no longer available.
