The cable has two plugs and a socket. As is, it can be used for 2 player play.
For 3 players, you daisy chain another cable into the socket.
For 4 players, you do the same again.
So for the maximum 18 players that the lynx officially supports, you would need a whopping 17 cables.
Luckily, the chance of finding 18 people with lynxes who want to play is minimal!
